Finds by one of Guy's biggest fans, so I've copied for here
Someone on the Australian Charts compiled a list of all artists who had achieved 14 or more platinum certifications for singles in Australia. The list was done in April and at that time 40 acts had reached that milestone, including four Aussies. Of course certifications only became a regular thing when ARIA came into being in the 1980's and took control of certifications, as prior to that, record companies only awarded them sporatically to their artists. Also of course in the last four years singles sales have gone through the roof resulting in huge leaps in certifications. Consequently almost all 40 acts who made the list are current acts. Guy stands amazingly high on it, in front of some huge international acts. As of April Guy had the tenth highest single certifications ever with his 29.5 P (that's 28 platinum and three gold). The only Aussie in the top twenty. Since the list was done one act has moved past him to push him down to 11. There are three other Australians on the list. Sia was 28th with 17 platinums, almost all of those awarded as a featured artist. Delta came in at 32 with 16.5 platinums and Kylie was 33rd with 16 platinums. Amazing really. Anyone who scoffs at Guy being called one of Australia's biggest selling artists has rocks in their heads. Anyway for the record the act who came in at #1 was Rihanna with an incredible 57 platinums.
And another find of hers
“An article about reality tv contestants. Nothing about Guy really, except one very small mention which actually says a great deal
Not every former housemate, not-quite-big-enough Loser or fallen Idol gets a magazine deal or a record contract; few reality TV stars become Guy Sebastian.

His “Dare to be Square” song for the Slimefest (Nickelodeons) actually made the ARIA listing, its another earworm of a song and is raising money for the Kids Helpline. Available on iTunes.

btw his birthday is this month, October 23rd
don't forget to help out New Zealand fans - there are currently NO under 18 venues for his tour around the Xmas season. There are many petitions - also ditto for the two islands. There are currently several persons ready with busloads - if they can get a gig on their part of the islands!
