Some controversial things happening, some amazing and rather wonderful talents emerging. When Guy said No to Josh Brookes continuing last year there was a big outcry as Josh has quite a few fans. Its now emerged as the show, now well into its run and showing the first ofthe Super Bootcamp last night, that Josh NEVER remembered all the words of a song once he had entered the competition proper. And as Guy said, they're only asking for 30 seconds... if they can't manage that? NOW this year, there is Bella, who hasn't recalled her words at all but she's still going because she's highly fancied for a front runner. And young Joel who was a cutie, lovely voice, and has gone because he failed to shine and forgot some words. Etc. etc. The thing is, there's a LOT of editing... anyone having been to the auditions will prob. recall that. So that what the TV audience are seeing is the end result, but not necessarily (as with Josh, in 2011) the important bits for US, in TV land. We have the same judges as last year, MelB, Guy Sebastian, Natalie Bassingthwaite and Ronan Keating. I just have to proudly pop this bit here... after all, its us Aussies! A new article on the Herald Sun reviews The X Factor, Big Brother and I Will Survive. It is written by Siobhan Duck. As articles on the Herald Sun have a habit of only being able to be read once unless you have a digital pass, I thought I would put the best bit here. who am I to disagree :haha:

"The X Factor reminds me that it’s possible to unearth true star quality in a TV talent quest. And that’s not from seeing the impressive vocal gymnastics of this year’s aspiring stars, but in watching Guy Sebastian on the judges’ panel.
That man is utterly charming. And funny. And it’s little wonder that he steals the show right out from under bigger international names like Mel B and Ronan Keating without even trying."http://www.heraldsun...7-1226465150635
wow ....love it....love it....love it
I'm enjoying XFactor.........but found myself swearing at the telly last night.......Bella was 'shocking'.....she forgot the words....TWICE! and was so flat....truly not right to be still in the show.
Anyways apart from that lil hic up........I'm loving it......oh and isn't Shianne just gorgeous.... what a love...

you I think they;ve done a lot of fancy editing. I'm guessing the produce/director is also the same one for Home and Away!!!
Adil went. Samantha Jade I think lost some votes because of the staging, in my mind it didnt allow connection with the TV audience. Visually stunning because ofthe dress, but also because of the dress, spent far too much time looking at THAT rather than listening to her performance. And we didnt see a whole lot of the 'hotness' as it were. I'm with MelB, her actual frock was far better.
I'm a huge Angel fan, she just walks out on stage and owns it, quietly, calmly and with clear presence - and THEN she has the voice.
The Collective were also a highlight for me. Amazing energy /synergy, and moved and sang together like they were born in the one family (actually probably better).
Some of the sets were stunning, but I thought Bella's was (again) so visually impressive that one could lose the vocal. I love what Squared Division have brought to the show, but think they need to rethink carefully, as its NOT just a TV show, but also a competition for the voting public. And here, I must say I had a hard job trying to pick the actual words, and not just the sound. Lyrics, to me, are pretty important.
And yes... Guy and Lupe's performance sent twitter into hysterics. They'll be performing live on David Lettermans show Sept 27th.

Lots of negative talk around regarding winner of XFactor being "known" from the start. The Collective are supposedly going to win no matter what..,... according to those who are in the know.
I feel sorry for the boys......as they are a real talent. I think they ARE the best. Sham that this rumour may put a nasty taste in peoples mouths.....and that it supposes the judges are in on it. No way, no how. Big management maybe?
