STORY FROM AUSTRALIAN IDOL
A GOOD GUY TO THE RESCUE
Life throws up wonderful moments of good luck or happy coincidence, often at times when it is most needed. Angie Narayan, our first finalist to leave the competition, experienced just such a moment of serendipity the day after discovering her Australian Idol journey was over.
Angie was at Sydney Airport, struggling with her bags, as she prepared to fly down to Melbourne for her appearances on Rove and Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton.
Just as Angie was wishing for some guy to come along and help, a guy, sitting in his car, spotted Angie in his rear view mirror and got out to help. This guy wasn't just any guy, however, it was a guy we all know and love: Australian Idol series one winner, Guy Sebastian!
It was almost as if angels brought him here, you might say. It was a rather special way for Angie to farewell her time in the competition, with the Australian Idol winner from 2003 carrying her bags!
Hmmm, we wonder if Guy is busy for the next eleven Tuesdays?

Heres another story too....about angie meeting guy
Angie's kind of Idol Guy September 8, 2004 AUSTRALIAN Idol's first dropout Angie Narayan may have been feeling a bit down yesterday after her exit from the show, but we're sure a chance encounter at Sydney Airport managed to lift her spirits a little.
As she arrived to catch a flight to Melbourne, none other than Guy Sebastian – sitting in his car after dropping off girlfriend Julie Egan – spotted Angie and got out for a chat. No doubt some words of wisdom and encouragement were passed on from the Idol winner.
Earlier, Angie told Confidential she should have performed an AC/DC song instead of her choice of John Farnham. "I'm a big Acca Dacca fan," she said. And her tip for who'll end up winning? "I think this year a girl deserves to win," Angie said, nominating 18-year-old Queenslander Ricki-Lee Coulter. "She's funky, she's hip, she's hot." NOW don't be thinking the best part of Australian Idol, or worst depending on how much you dig your cringe television, is all said and done. Enter next week's Idol special, Live and Unforgettable, the show that brings back to life the seven most horrendous audition attempts from the beginning of the series and puts them through the wringer again – performing just for one more laugh at their expense. They're the likes of Nadine "I'm Not Pretty Enough" Rowley, Flynn "Beat It" Liu and the dancing Duffy sisters from WA who didn't make the cut but had a good hard go at it. Check out Flynn, who Confidential hears spent some painstaking hours preparing a special new number on Tuesday night. STILL on top performances, lovely reader Sally e-mailed to tell us that Confidential simply rocks "unlike Dan's choice of footwear" on Australian Idol on Monday night. "What was he thinking? Thongs – yuk," she said. Clearly not a foot fetishist.
